On Jun 28, 2024, Megan and Christof, a.k.a team hair-no-hair, will attempt to set a new self-supported Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the 300mi/483km Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail. The current supported FKT is held by Ellen Lavoie in 8 days and 11 hours.
The trail
The 300mi/483km Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail follows the historic route of the Milwaukee Road from Cedar Falls to the Idaho border. The trail gives hikers, cyclists and equestrians a taste of Washington’s scenic diversity from the evergreen, forested Cascade Mountains to the arid scrublands of the eastern Washington Palouse region.
“The former Milwaukee Road roadbed was acquired by the state of Washington via a quitclaim deed, and is used as a non-motorized recreational trail managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.” [Source].

Tracking will be available in the embedded map below or at https://maps.findmespot.com/s/QV5L. We plan to start in the morning hours of Fri, Jun 28, 2024, at the Idaho border (eastern terminus of the trail).
