Please refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/onda.org\/images\/oregon-desert-trail-1\/odt-guide\/odt-guide-text\/odt-guide-in-entirety\" target=\"_blank\">ODT guide<\/a> for a detailed\u00a0trail surface description. I&#8217;m using the same terminology as on the maps.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>XC<\/strong>: cross-country<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trail<\/strong>: single-track trail<\/li>\n<li>Roads:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Primitive<\/strong>: typically an abandoned or somewhat maintained two-track road; these roads are often rocky and rugged.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Maintained<\/strong>: typically a well-traveled gravel road;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paved<\/strong>: a paved road.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The figures should help hikers to\u00a0determine the difficulty level of the different sections.
