On Wed, Feb 1, 2017, I will make an unsupported fastest known time<\/a> (FKT)\u00a0attempt of the 165-mile\u00a0Ozark Highlands Trail<\/a> (OHT) in northwest Arkansas. The plan is to\u00a0start at the\u00a0Lake Fort Smith State Park<\/a> (West end) and to finish at the\u00a0Woolum campground<\/a> (East end). The tentative start time is 7pm CT.<\/p>\n

I figured this would be a decent\u00a0long run to prepare me for the next few\u00a0races. Yet,\u00a0malicious tongues say that it’s more likely going to end my season prematurely.<\/p>\n

Unsupported<\/a> means I will have no external support of any kind. Thus, I will be carrying all my gear and food (except water) from the beginning to the end. Also, I will be doing this solo.<\/p>\n
