There&#8217;s currently a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/detail\/giffordpinchot\/alerts-notices\/?cid=fseprd1058848\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">small fire in the Goat Rocks area<\/a>, but all trails I have to be on are open (as of Thu, Sep 8, 2022).<\/p>\n<h3>The Goat Rocks Clover<\/h3>\n<p>Nestled between snow-capped Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/recarea\/giffordpinchot\/recarea\/?recid=79414\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goat Rocks wilderness<\/a>\u00a0is known for its stunning alpine scenery. One of the best sections of the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000 (PCT) leads through the middle of the Goat Rocks wilderness.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/old-snowy-mountain-elk-pass\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Old Snowy<\/a>\u00a0(7,930ft) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wta.org\/go-hiking\/hikes\/gilbert-peak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gilbert Peak<\/a>\u00a0(8,201ft) are the most notable peaks in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/christofteuscher.com\/aagaa\/goat-rocks-clover\/\">Goat Rocks Clover route<\/a> combines quite possibly everything you will want to see in the Goat Rocks wilderness into one big (mini or maxi) adventure.
